Draw probably fair

Lucky not to be 2 or 3 down first 30 mins, then after that we played well. Created host of chances and could of got more than 2. To many players had a off day, Diop had a stinker first half hour. Nobes and Arthur not much better. Antonio also was far from his best.

2nd half much better, Benrahma's goals were superb....especially the 2nd. Could of nicked it at the end, thought Coufal could/should of got his name on the scoresheet. Gets in cracking positions just needs a bit more composure.

Draw in the final game will be enough to win the group

Genk deserved a draw for their 1st half performance alone
We were utterly hopeless in the 1st half and very lucky indeed to come in at half time only one goal down
In the 1st half Diop looked about as interested in playing for us as Kane is playing for Tottenham, rather than trying to stake a claim for a 1st team start
I was impressed by their Paintsil who went past Diop with ease every time, even with balls 70/30 in Diops favour. If it wasn't for us needing Zouma fresh for Liverpool I'm sure Diop would have been hooked after 20 minutes, he was that bad
Masuaka wasn't far behind him but at least he had the excuse for being out with injury and finding his way back
This wasn't a game for Noble either who was cruelly shown up for his lack of pace by their quick midfield
Dawson too showed the same reason for not being a regular starter in our 1st team these days
I don't think I've ever seen Coufal give the ball away so much in a game as he did in the 1st half
Declan took a yellow for the team trying to cover for the inept performances all around him and I was seriously concerned that he might pick up a second the way things were going
All this made our 2nd half revival all the more impressive
They had a few lucky breaks when our attacks broke down, which they tried to capitalise on, but overall we were in control throughout the 2nd half and really looked like we were going to win it when the 3 subs were made

Tough on Soucek with the og as he tried to help out, but overall a draw was a fair result
It just shows how far we've come when we're all a bit disappointed not to get a win away in Europe!
A draw isn't such a bad result, especially after that diabolical 1st half
On a sidenote, I thought their big lad up front, who we were heavily linked with in the summer, was poor
Ito was their standout man but I would think Paintsil would be a great acquisition for us, the sort of play who would suit us perfectly

Genk looked a decent side in the first half at our place. Given our poor first 30 minutes a draw was a decent result in the end but our finishing was poor at times As for Soucek's own goal just one of those things, agree as mentioned Areola should of called for the ball.

Shit 35 minutes first half, after that we dominated.

Should have scored about 4 or 5, just didn't take our chances.

Feel for Soucek, having a real dip in form and his confidence looks shot to pieces. I don't blame him for the goal, as it goes. He should have had a shout from Areola who could have easily come out to collect the cross.

Can't grumble at the campaign so far, we've been brilliant. Thought our fans last night were as usual unreal.

Genk had so many lucky breaks it was no surprise we scored their equaliser for them.

I didn’t watch first half yesterday so can’t comment on Antonio shooting when passing.

BUT on motd2 pundits were praising Antonio for passing when he could have had a shot fir our fourth goal.

Darby - Yea, decent point. A draw or win, it didn't really matter too much, although would have been good for our travelling contingent to enjoy a win.

Thought again last night, in patches, we showed how far we have come as a team, some slick interchanges, crisp passing, getting up the pitch quickly, heads not dropping, etc.

Ref Antonio, have to remember he's a makeshift forward still, and sometimes that still shows. Think he will come good again.

This wasn’t a really important game for me. The Champions League should be our aim right now, considering how far ahead we were in our Europa group, so it’s good that we rested a few for Liverpool. We need an absolutely full strength squad so we can try to spring an upset on Pool.

I’m happy that the final two group games are still alive. Dead rubbers are a pointless waste of time.

It’d be great to see second-stringers like Kral and kids given time in games that actually mean something.

Topping group will be crucial. Last 16 of a European competition would be amazing.

Looking at these top of the groups we will be in good company plus will face the champions league drop outs who have to battle through a last 32 tie.

Bad news is our Europa conference league dreams are over! Ha

We’re through to the knock out stage, but it’s all about whether we top the group to skip a round.

I hate to say it, but we are almost certain to top the group. It’s just a damn shame we couldn’t hold on for the win, because we could have rested a lot of key players in the next two matches, and instead given some youngsters some priceless experience.

I would have settled for a draw approaching half time, but that was a slight downer giving up the win so close to the whistle. Nothing to be too upset over, though. A decent point away to the best team we’ve met in this group.

On to Liverpool.
